Edible Lace and Frill Applique with Hand Crafted Sugar Gardenia

This project really reminds me of the wedding dresses I made during my designer's days.
There is no brief, the customer just want a pretty cake adorned with sugar flower for her mum.
She pretty much gave me the liberty to design the cake and that is a music to my ears.

Design inspiration comes from the corded lace applique from wedding dresses.  Fondant frills were added to give a softer touch.
