Macaron Chocolate Ganache Cake decorated with Handcrafted Moustache Monogram Cake Topper

I did this simple and rustic chocolate cake for uncle Goldwyn 85th Birthday.
The signature look of Uncle Goldwyn is his moustache and I thought it is cool to include in the cake design.
Check out a series of cupcake design I did for his birthday last year http://sconesnwhateverblog.blogspot.com/2015/03/simply-white-and-goldwyn.html

Rococo style inspired blush pink cake decorated with ornate gold carving, hand crafted sugar rose and feathers

This Rococo inspired cake was designed for a lady who was celebrating her 82nd birthday.

Rococo style, originated in Paris in the early 18th century.  It is characterized by lightness, elegance and an exuberant use of craving.  The word Rococo is derived from the French word rocaille, which denoted the shell-covered rock work that was used to decorate artificial grottoes
(source from Encyclopaedia Britannica)

I have seen a lot of blush pink and black in Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2016 runway show, thus this colour combination was chosen to go with this theme.

Rose was handcrafted out of sugarpaste and brushed with light hues of peach colour dust.

Cake flavour was old fashion vanilla butter cake covered with homemade marzipan and fondant.

Aqua blue Chanel 2.55 bag sculpted cake

This was done for my friend Audrey who was looking to get her daughter a Chanel 2.55 bag cake for her 20th birthday!

She requested a handcrafted sugar car to go along the cake as her daughter is taking her driving test on her birthday.  Car plate number SHA0303T signified the birthday girl's name and birth date, how sweet and thoughtful!
